Renault Maroc Maintains Leading Position with Nearly 44% Market Share in April

Rabat – Renault Maroc is strengthening its position as it recorded a market share of 43.6 % in April with a delivery of 5,364 vehicles.

The latest statistics from the group’s monthly sales show that the company is maintaining its leading market position for passenger cars and utility vehicle (VP-VU).

The statistics shared by Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) showed that Dacia and Renault remains the key leaders in the VP-VU market in terms of volume and market share.

Dacia maintains its leading position with 29.3 % of passenger car market share in April, with 3,157 delivecule deliveries.

The market share of Dania stood at 30.3 % during the first four months of 2019.

Renault is the second largest brand in the Moroccan passengers car market with a market share of 16.9 % and 1,818 units delivered in April.

The group is also reinforcing its position  as a leader in the commercial and utility vehicles (VU-VUT), with  a market share of 25.2 % in April, with a total of 1,413 units delivers and 26.2 % share market.

MAP added that the group secured six places in the “Top Ten” bestseller in 2018, completing the year with achievements in terms of vehicles delivery and a market share reaching 42.5 %.

Renault Maroc announced in January that its market share  increased to 42.5 % in 2018 from 41.8 % in 2017.

The Association of Importers of Vehicles in Morocco announced an overall increase in Moroccan automotive sales in 2018.

Moroccans bought 177,400 cars in 2018, compared to 168,136 vehicles in 2017, up by 5%.
