Rabat – Moroccan international football players Achraf Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech have made it to France Football magazine’s best African eleven.

The magazine selected the two players, among other nine football stars from the continent, to create the 2019 fantasy football team for Africa.

The magazine featured Hakimi as left back, while Ziyech appears as an attacking midfielder.

In a tribute to Hakimi, the magazine said that the young football star “already gives the impression of being a confirmed player.”

The magazine also praised Ziyech for his spectacular performances with his Dutch football club, Ajax Amsterdam.

“Ziyech was breathtaking in 2019. The Moroccan, best Eredivisie player, shone in front of the world during the last Ligue champions.”

For the magazine, Ziyech is a “complete and super talented” football player.

The lineup also features several renowned African footballers, including Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Sadio Mané (Senegal), and Riyad Mahrez (Algeria).

The full line-up is as follows:

On December 29, the French sports magazine also shorlisted Ziyech and Hakimi among the nominees for the 2019 Best Maghreb Player of the year.

Moroccan football player Yunis Abdelhamid also features on the list.
