Rabat – As part of the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI to the Throne, many nations around the world celebrated alongside the Moroccan people.
In Canada, the CN Tower located in downtown Toronto, was draped in the national Moroccan colors, as Canadian authorities were keen to accompany Morocco in the celebration of this national holiday.
The vibrant tribute to the deep ties of friendship and cooperation uniting the Kingdom and Canada, did not stop there.
The High Level Bridge, the iconic natural border separating Canada and the United States, was also illuminated in Morocco’s national colors.
The Moroccan ambassador to Canada. Souriya Otmani, told media outlet 2M that “these events are strong testimony to the excellence and uniqueness of bilateral relations between Morocco and Canada.”

The Moroccan Embassy in Dublin virtually celebrated the occasion, by designing and producing two video capsules.
According to a press release issued by diplomatic representatives of the Kingdom in Ireland, the Moroccan embassy in Ireland collaborated with the Irish National Opera, creating a video featuring Moroccan and Irish anthems performed by Irish sopranos with subtitles in Arabic and English.
The Irish embassy invited 22 members of the Moroccan community in Ireland to contribute to the celebration. The Moroccan participants in the video are based in Ireland and represent a variety of diverse professions.

In the Colombian capital, the emblematic Colpatria Tower was also adorned with the colors of the country’s flag, along with the portrait of King Mohammed IV, representing a strong symbolic gesture of good faith and celebratory spirit.
The Colpatria Tower is among the highest towers in Colombia and Latin America. As a result, the lightshow was widely shared on social media platforms, and did not go unnoticed.
In a statement to MAP, the Moroccan Ambassador to Colombia, Farida Loudaya, remarked that “the positive and constant dynamics of the bilateral partnership between Rabat and Bogota reflects the unequivocal commitment of both countries to consolidate South-South cooperation, and is a fine illustration of an exemplary rapprochement between the Arab world and Africa.”
The Peruvian capital took part in the festivities on Saturday, July 31. The Miraflores Municipal Palace in Lima was lit in tribute to Morocco’s national colors, accompanied by the sound of the Moroccan national anthem.
