Rabat – Judicial Police of the Anfa district in Casablanca arrested today a 47-year-old employee in a commercial company, after sparking suspicion of involvement in a homicide case.
The suspect is facing charges of beating and wounding the 34-year-old victim using a cold weapon, which led to her death, according to local reports.
The victim, who worked in a private clinic near the University Hospital Center Ibn Rochd in Casablanca, was physically assaulted and seriously injured by a cold weapon due to personal disputes from a previous relationship with the suspect.
The victim was transferred to Ibn Rochd Hospital but soon passed away, while the suspect was arrested after local law enforcement officers seized the weapon he used to assault the victim.
In a statement, the Casablanca police noted that he has been taken into police custody pending further investigations.
