Morocco’s COVID-19 Infections Decline ‘Booster’ Shot Campaign Progresses

Morocco’s vaccination campaign has been progressing, with the North African country having fully vaccinated 20,438,913 of the population. The number of people who have received the first dose of the vaccine is now 23,105,552. Last week, Morocco launched the administration of the third covid-19 vaccine shot, and the country has now administered over 282,691 booster doses.

Morocco’s COVID-19 Infections Decline ‘Booster’ Shot Campaign Progresses

Rabat – Morocco recorded 566 COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since March 2020 to 939,922.

Active COVID-19 cases in the country stand at 6,363 as of October 12, while the total death toll due to the pandemic is now 14,485.

Health authorities in Morocco conducted a total of 14,278 tests in the last 24 hours and recorded a 0.5 infection index. 

As of today, health authorities recorded 699 recoveries, bringing the total of recovered patients to 919,074.

The Casablanca-Settat region has been the most affected area in the past 24 hours, reporting 262 infections and 2 deaths.

Rabat-Sale-Kenitra comes second, with 163 COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths.

Morocco’s vaccination campaign has been progressing, with the North African country having fully vaccinated 20,438,913 of the population.

The number of people who have received the first dose of the vaccine is now 23,105,552.

Last week, Morocco launched the administration of the third covid-19 vaccine shot, and the country has now administered over 282,691 booster doses. 

Following the success of the vaccination campaign, and the free fall of daily infections reported by the national health ministry, Moroccans across the country are eagerly expecting a complete relaxation of precautionary measures.
