Rabat – Moroccan and Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi appeared as a guest in the latest episode of the cooking reality show “Star vs Food” on Discovery+ channel with the engineer-turned-chef, Rahul Desai, the Executive Chef of “Blah! Mumbai.”

Fatehi never misses an opportunity to promote her culture on TV sets arounds the world. This time, she unveiled another part of Morocco’s rich culture by cooking two well-known and quintessentially Moroccan dishes, chicken Tagine with candied lemons and olives and lamb Harira.

Celebrities reach out to popular chefs through the “Star vs Food” show to rustle up a special meal for their family and friends, and the Moroccan-Canadian dancer proved through the famous culinary show that she can also ace her kitchen game with impressive cooking skills.

Along with Fatehi, her two close friends, rapper Badshah and her make-up artist Marcelo Pedrozo, made a special appearance to taste her dishes and give reviews.

“It was an emotional moment because I got to feed my friends and they reacted so well, and I felt good… it was nice,” Fatehi said.

Born and raised in a Moroccan household living in Canada, she evoked her best memories of Moroccan food and culture, explaining that in Morocco, receiving guests and preparing delicious food is an art of living.

“When it comes to Moroccan culture, women really take hosting seriously, it is part of our culture to feed people endlessly if they come to our house,” she added.

After the show, a visibly delighted Nora Fatehi took to social media to express her gratitude to her family – especially her father – for their support and to brief her Instagram fans and followers. She wrote, “Thanks to my father who is a chef, I always wanted to wear an apron and Star vs Food ignited the amateur chef within me.”

In the episode, she also spoke about her passion for Indian cinema, a love that started ever since she moved to Saudi Arabia and was constantly surrounded by friends who picked up Hindi from Bollywood films.

She stressed how she felt when she first encountered the language, “I was more scared and traumatized because I knew I had a small amount of time to learn. I needed to learn fast, which was very tough for me.” As it turned out, however, the Moroccan actress found learning Hindi rather enjoyable and immensely enriching.
