Morad Elhafed, a Moroccan who is a General Partner at tech investment firm Battery, has been ranked in the top 10 of Growthcap Advisory’s “Top 40 Under 40” list.

Morad Elhafed: Moroccan Entrepreneur Makes Growthcap Advisory’s Top Ten

Rabat – Morad Elhafed, a Moroccan who is a General Partner at tech investment firm Battery, has been ranked in the top 10 of Growthcap Advisory’s “Top 40 Under 40” list.

With his position at Battery, Elhafed invests in the technology and software sectors throughout North America and Europe.

During 2021, as a General Partner in Battery, Elhafed managed exits in Olo, a restaurant software firm that went public.

Various of his other investments, such as membership software firm Clubessential Holdings, recorded significant growth this past year as well.

A Moroccan national, Elhafed is involved with many of Battery’s investments that have cumulatively completed more than 40 add-on acquisitions. He is also regularly quoted by publications such as Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal.

Prior to joining Battery, he worked in technology investments at RBC Capital Markets after graduating from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Founded in 1983, Battery is an investment firm that specializes in tech industry investments, especially in the consumer and industrial tech markets.

In Morocco, the technology sector has been recently gaining needed attention from investors, big firms, and official agencies.

Recent reports have indicated that digitization and electronic ventures will be the most important for growing Morocco’s economy and job markets going into the future.

In addition to local giants such as Marjane launching new digital services and multinational corporations expanding into the country, more official projects such as the “Tatwir – Startup” initiative also promise to improve Morocco’s digital infrastructures going forward.
