Fez – Morocco’s National Social Security Fund (CNSS) has launched “Taawidaty,” a new online service to allow families to apply for allowances and declare their children’s school enrollment.
The service aims to simplify the CNSS’s procedures and better improve the quality of its services.
A statement from the CNSS said that insured individuals can easily apply for family allowances and declare the school status of their children through the portal www.macnss.ma.
The portal will spare CNSS’s subscribers from going to the fund’s agencies to submit their applications and the required documents.
The CNSS posted a user manual and a tutorial video on its website, as well as on its official social media pages, explaining how to use this new service.
Morocco has been working to improve its digital capabilities since 2017. The North African country established the Digital Development Agency (ADD) to oversee the implementation of a state-run project called “Horizon 2025.”
Morocco’s “Horizon 2025” project aims to digitize the Moroccan government, accelerate the development of Morocco’s digital economy, improve social inclusion and human development, and overall create a digitally friendly environment in Morocco.

Remarkably, the digitization of services witnessed a speedy surge during the COVID-19 pandemic. In April, the Oxford Business Group (OBG) published research highlighting the pandemic’s positive impact on digitization in Morocco.
As people were unable to go out to live their normal lives due to the lockdown order, many fields turned to the internet to serve customers. Medical care providers, for example, offered online scheduling and consultations.
Morocco’s ADD launched the “Digital Generation” project to pave the way for the upcoming digitized future of the next generations in the workforce.
