Rabat – Moroccan multi-Grammy award winner and producer Nadir Khayat, better known by RedOne, joined international football governing body FIFA as a Creative Entertainment Executive.
FIFA announced the news on Sunday. “Exciting times to join forces and bring innovative entertainment to our fans. Together, we share the vision of making football truly global. A lot more to come in the new year!”
RedOne also expressed satisfaction with joining the football governing body. On his Instagram, RedOne shared a photo with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
Wearing the same black FIFA-tagged black suit with white stripes Infantino is wearing, RedOne expressed excitement to join the FIFA world: “So proud to join the FIFA team as Creative Entertainment Executive. A new story has began.”
Born in 1972, the Moroccan Swedish artist works with international superstars, including Lady Gaga, Enrique Eglasias, and Jennifer Lopez.
Frequently demonstrating his love for all-things Moroccan, RedOne is an avid follower of Moroccan football. The Moroccan producer also attends many of Real Madrid matches, expressing his support of the team on every possible occasion on social networks.
The musical artist was one of the high-profile attendees during the Morocco-Algeria match in the FIFA Arab Cup.
RedOne has been nominated for ten Grammy Awards throughout his career in the industry, winning three.
