Rabat – Lebanese star Myriam Fares has released a song in Darija (Moroccan Arabic) featuring Amazigh rhythms to surprise her fans.

“Maalesh”(it is okay) generated  over 1,752,103 on her YouTube channel within 24 hours of its release. Currently, it is #5 on “trending for music” across the video platform.

The singer appears in several stylish outfits in the video, including traditional clothing as she perfectly performs Moroccan and Amazigh dances.

This is the second song in Darija that the Lebanese star has released. A decade ago, the singer released her song “Tlah” (jump) mesmerizing her fans across the world — particularly Moroccans.

Fares unveiled her new song project last year in an interview, in which she paid tribute to all Amazigh people across the world.

“I would like to greet the Amazigh people, in all parts of the world, particularly in Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, and I would like to inform them that I will release a work with Amazigh rhythms, Amazigh dance and clothes. The dialect will be Moroccan even,” she said.

The singer explained that she chose Darija so everyone in Morocco can understand the lyrics, adding that the Amazigh dialect is “very difficult.”

With her unique look and performances, the singer has captured fans across MENA with recordings of several songs in different dialects of Arabic, including Khaliji (Gulf dialect), Iraqi, Egyptian, and her mother tongue of Lebanese.
