Rabat – KFC is planning a significant expansion in Morocco, with the opening of 10 new restaurants nationwide in 2022.A press release from KFC Maroc earlier this week confirms the company’s willingness to expand in the North African country, citing “enthusiasm” of Moroccan customers, “despite a hostile epidemiological context.”
State media news agency MAP quoted the KFC press release, stressing that the brand’s development strategy is “based on product quality” and on a network of selected local partners who “enrich the KFC offer throughout Morocco.”
KFC emphasized that KFC Maroc has been led by a Moroccan management team since 2018.
The food chain firm argued that 80% of the ingredients used in KFC recipes are Moroccan. About 100% of the chicken processed by the famous restaurant chain is locally sourced.
“At KFC, the main ingredient is chicken. Each slice of chicken is carefully prepared according to KFC international specifications. The menus are prepared on-site by the cooks of KFC in strict accordance with the famous recipe designed by Colonel Sanders, founder of the eponymous restaurant chain,” KFC Maroc added.
The food chain company has been present in Morocco since 2001, It has about 20 restaurants across Morocco in addition to a staff of 450.
