Rabat – Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc is scheduling three new special flights to repatriate Moroccans from Ukraine.
Royal Air Maroc scheduled the new flights on March 3rd to meet the demands of Moroccans who want to leave Ukraine following Russia’s military offensive in the country.
The company recalled that the trips are exclusively for Moroccans established in Ukraine.
As part of its special offer, Royal Air Maroc has set the prices at MAD 750 ($75 tax included).
Departure flights will take off from Bucharest, Budapest, and Warsaw to Casablanca.
Passengers interested in the offer can book their tickets via www.royalairmaroc.com.
The newly announced flights come in addition to air trips the company announced yesterday to bring back Moroccans stuck in Ukraine amid the war.
Royal Air Maroc scheduled three flights on March 2 with a special price set at $75.
Due to the closure of Ukraine’s airspace, Morocco’s embassy in Kyiv called on Moroccans wishing to return home to travel to Ukraine’s borders with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania, where reception cells have been set up to attend to Moroccans’ demands.
Morocco’s government has also agreed to allow Mauritanian students to use Royal Air Maroc flights.
Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed reached out to his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, to ask for Morocco’s help.
“During the call, they agreed to give seats to Mauritanian students as part of the trip program organized by the Kingdom [of Morocco] for its citizens in Ukraine on Royal Air Maroc,” one Mauritanian news agency reported earlier today.
