Rabat – Paris, France will host the first “Art’Expo Morocco,” an artistic event seeking to celebrate the North African country’s cultural assets.

The three-day event will open on March 24 at the Maison du Maroc Foundation in the French capital and will discuss the theme: “Morocco, land of cultures and arts.”

A communique from Art’Expo Morocco organizers describes the art exhibition as a “traveling” event that will tour different cities around the world.

“We will announce the next phases of Art’Expo Morocco, during the first edition.”

The art symposium aims to shed light on Morocco’s cultural assets and heritage, as well as seeking to promote intercultural dialogue and tolerance.

French-Moroccan entrepreneur Sabah Zakhnini is the co-founder of the event.

Sharing her love and passion for Moroccan culture, the entrepreneur aims to launch the Art’Expo Morocco to promote and “share the thousand-year-old history of Morocco throughout the world.”

“Art’Expo Morocco was created in order to share the richness of Moroccan culture, its rich tangible and intangible heritage which, moreover, has solidly reinforced the principles of social cohesion, dialogue, tolerance, peace and has made Morocco an intercultural and tolerant country involved in the dialogue of civilizations,” the press release added.

The organizers are expecting different cultural enthusiasts to participate in the event, including renowned painters, photographers, and designers from different countries.

The press release announced that Moroccan craftsmen, as well as artists from Morocco, France, and Cote d’Ivoire, will present their artwork at the event.

“Morocco is at the crossroads of cultures and influences: Arab, Berber, sub-Saharan Africa, Hebrew, Mediterranean, Andalusian, Europe, and many others and precisely it is this mosaic of cultures and influences that gives Morocco this great cultural richness,” the press release added.

Moroccan designer Hicham Lahlou will be the curator of the three-day event, while the co-curator of Art-Expo Morocco is Moraria Kermadi.
