Rabat – The King’s Prosecutor in the Court of Cassation and the Chief of Public Prosecution Institution in Rabat, Moulay El Hassan Daki, has commended the significant contributions of women towards the development of the Moroccan judicial system, during a speech on March 7th.
Daki highlights that the constitution established the principles of gender equality, giving women their rightful place in order to build a Morocco of democracy, equality and rights, calling the occasion of the International Women’s Day “an opportunity (for women, sic.) to be recognized.”
Emphasizing the significant progress that Moroccan women, like their counterparts around the world, have made in shouldering responsibilities and demonstrating that they are dedicated, trustworthy, and deserving of roles in public judicial office, Daki highlighted women’s potential and success in roles ranging from, “judge, general representative of the king, president of a court, or clerk of control”.
Moroccan women have demonstrated “that they are no less vital and efficient than men, and sometimes even superior to them,” adds the head of the Public Prosecution Institution, “and the justice sector is abundant in the best and most efficient women.”
