An agreement between FC Barcelona and Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is soon to see the light, according to Catalan daily Sport.
Sport reported that the Ajax star has turned down offers from other clubs, including AC Milan, Arsenal, Dortmund, and Leeds, to choose his next step with the Blaugrana.
Barcelona and Mazraoui‘s camp must now finalize the terms of the deal, which will see Mazraoui sign a three or four-year contract with the club, said the Spanish daily.
Catalan’s interest in Mazraoui reflects Barcelona’s coach Xavi Hernandez’s strategy to strengthen the right-back position of the team.
According to the Spanish site, talks with Mazraoui’s agent Mino Raiola went smoothly and resulted in a verbal offer, while the Ajax player considered bids from AC Milan, Arsenal, Dortmund, and Leeds.
Earlier reports indicated that Barcelona was preparing a five-year contract for 3.5 million euros per season plus bonuses to acquire Mazraoui’s services and strengthen the club’s right-wing.

The Moroccan international has garnered interest from European clubs due to his tremendous season with Ajax Amsterdam.
The 24-year-old had a fantastic career at Ajax, scoring nine goals and assisting eight times in 123 appearances across all competitions, including 26 games and five goals this season.
As Morocco is preparing for its World Cup playoffs against the Democratic Republic of Congo, the FRMF addressed a call for Mazraoui to take part in these games.
“After all what has been said and done I recently still had the decency to talk and communicate with the federations official about the situation in the past years. I did this for the love I have for the fans and my country Morocco,” Mazraoui said.
Mazraoui expressed regret that he will not be part of the squad for the forthcoming matches, citing a rift with national team head coach Vahid Halilhodzic.
