Rabat – The ninth year of the Visa for Music festival, featuring a professional market and African and Middle Eastern music, will take place in Rabat from November 16 to 19.

According to a press release, applications are now open for artists wishing to take part in this year’s event. Applicants can submit entries online by April 30. The application form is available on the Visa for Music official website.

“This festival is now a platform that promotes opportunities for encounters and helps to give the visibility and place they deserve to artists from Africa and the Middle East,” the statement by the festival’s organizers added.

The 2022 Visa for Music festival will be held in a hybrid way for the second consecutive year due the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis. The program will feature in-person concerts, live conferences, and online broadcasts.

The Visa for Music event is a platform that offers Moroccan, African, and Middle Eastern artists the opportunity to perform for a large audience, while also promoting the growth of the MENA music market.

Thirty artists and groups from Africa and the Middle East will be selected by a prominent  committee consisting of professionals in the cultural and music industry.
