Rabat – The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) announced on Friday the launch of two promotional campaigns to target French tourists in collaboration with Carrefour Voyages and Havas Voyages.

The two campaigns will run on April 1-22 and July 1-28. The partnership will also train  600 sales experts on Moroccan tourism

“Itis important for us today to stimulate our sales force to be closer to our potential customers,” said ONMT Director-General, Adel El Fakir.

Through partnering with leading travel distributors Carrefour Voyages and Havas Voyages, the office seeks to rebuild   Morocco’s major tourism market which suffered major losses from border closures induced by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Carrefour and Havas voyage could expose Morocco to a large number e of French tourists as the companies have large networks of travel agencies and tour travel planners.

Since airspace reopened on February 7, Morocco’s National Office of Tourism (ONMT) has promoted the country in Europe through cooperating with tourism operators and air carriers in France, Spain, and  German-speaking territories.

On March 23, Moroccan and Israeli tourism operators and investors held the first digital Morocco-Israel Tourism Investment Summit to discuss investment opportunities in the countries’ tourism and hospitality sectors.

The webinar came a week after ONMT announced its collaboration with American influencer Happy Kelli and Israeli TV animator Yarden Harel “to boost the touristic image of Morocco.”
