Rabat – Moroccan Ambassador to the UK Hakim Hajoui said at opening ceremony of the launch of ‘Morocco Now’ Brand in London that the two countries benefit from notable historical ties, “with trade being an important part of Morocco-UK common history.”
In a similar event held last week to discuss investment business opportunities in Morocco, ambassador Hajoui highlighted the various steps that Morocco is taking to make its economic sectors more attractive, such as notable investments in research and training for the country’s young workforce.
Of Morocco’s investment potential, Hajoui noted that the country can be a gateway for the entire world, due to its various cooperation agreements with other countries, its leadership position in Africa, and the huge potential that the continent holds.
Meanwhile, Morocco’s minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies Mohcine Jazouli has kicked off a roadshow in London to promote the kingdom as an investment destination.
The roadshow was organized by the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE) with the support of the Moroccan embassy in the UK.
Jazouli also spoke on the investment opportunities that Morocco has to offer in different fields such as renewable energies, industry, technology, and agriculture.
“Morocco Now,” the kingdom’s investment brand, is currently engaged in a visit to London, where senior Moroccan officials are meeting with investors and businessmen, and also advertising the kingdom’s economic potential.
British Ambassador to Morocco Simon Martin, who also attended the ceremony, took to twitter to highlight the North African’s country good climate change, which is an attracting asset for foreign investors, including British companies.
“Morocco is open for the UK business and I echo Mohcine Jazouli’s invitation to invest now in a stable, sustainable, competitive, agile partner, and a gateway to Africa,” Ambassador Martin tweeted.

Around 150 British investors, government officials, businesses and industrial partners with Morocco attended the ceremony.
Morocco ranks among the most attractive investment destinations in Africa with its world-grade infrastructure, low production costs, and digital connectivity.
The roadshow is set to host round tables and Business to Business (B2B) meetings between Moroccan business leaders and their British counterparts, as well as potential investors from the UK.
Companies from several sectors, including automotive, aerospace, energy and defense, will also take part in the meetings.
