Royal Air Maroc is Morocco’s national carrier and the largest airline in the country. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline’s fleet of 52 aircraft traveled to 99 destinations in 2019.

With Morocco’s airspace reopening on February 7, the company is witnessing a gradual recovery of its activities.

In 2020, Royal Air Maroc joined the Oneworld Alliance, making it the organization’s first African member.

Founded in 1999, the airline alliance consists of 14 full members that operate in more than 170 countries. The members include notably Iberia, British Airways, American Airways, and Qatar Airways.

In addition to being a member of a world-class airline alliance, Forbes MENA chose Royal Air Maroc CEO Abdelhamid Addou for its “Top 50 Travel & Tourism Leaders” list.

The list featured Abdelhamid Addou at the 33rd ranking along with other  “leaders that span across the entire travel ecosystem, including aviation, hotels, and destinations.”
