Casablanca’s Raja Athletic Club (RCA) has recently concluded a sponsorship agreement with Sancella Morocco for its women’s team. The agreement is part of the club’s efforts to boost its women’s football division.
The RCA Women’s shirt will now feature the multinational brand Nana, a franchise of the Sancella/Sotupa Group.
This deal is part of the Sancella/Sotupa Group’s regional strategy, providing an ever-increasing budget to sports sponsorship. The group aims to equip young domestic talent with the essential support to succeed. Sancella Morocco has been operating in the Kingdom since 2015.
RCA President Anis Mahfoud said that “this sponsorship agreement comes at the perfect time to support our ambitious ambition for RCA Women.” He further expressed the club’s ambitions to “be on the podium of the National Professional Women’s Football Championship in 2024,” “compete in international competitions in 2025.”
Meanwhile, General Manager of Sancella Morocco Emir Ghozzia said that the group is “ thrilled to promote Moroccan women’s football by partnering with one of Morocco’s historic clubs.”
The RCA Women are having a great season in Casablanca’s regional league, winning several games. The club’s management is trying its best to put in place a robust and long-term management structure.
Raja’s management hopes to turn RCA Women into a talent pool for the national women’s football team. The club’s officials are focusing on this objective and have implemented a strategic action plan for the women’s team.
