Rabat – Several Moroccan and Italian officials have praised the friendly relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of joint economic cooperation.
Morocco and Italy have been working together since 1991. At a meeting last week about investment opportunities, officials from both countries spoke of deepening the improved bilateral relations to pave the way for more diplomatic agreements to address common challenges.
With Morocco’s growing international importance receiving significant attention, “investments and economic and industrial synergies between Morocco and Italy are becoming increasingly important,” said Anna Mareschi Danieli, President of Confindustria’s Italian Employers’ section in Udine.
Morocco’s Ambassador in Rome Youssef Balla, underlined and praised the opportunities provided by the Moroccan economy, which he describes as “significantly opening up to the outside world.”
He also emphasized that this is due to the innovative reforms implemented in the kingdom to improve the business climate and economic support for companies investing in the country.

Representative of the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) Yasmina Sbihi, also assessed Morocco’s international image, emphasizing that the country has several sectors with high growth potential, such as automobiles and aeronautics.
Yasmina pointed out that in addition to its political stability and the possibilities it offers to investors, Morocco’s proximity to Europe is one of the main strengths that could lead to the creation of major bilateral partnerships. Countries such as Italy may be interested in the characteristics offered by the Kingdom.
“Both regions are part of the Mediterranean basin and can therefore serve as mutual missionaries in Europe and Africa,” commented Omar Moro, President of the National Rally of Independents in the Tangier-Tetouan region. He also explained his desire to cooperate with Italy, describing this as “a strong desire for exchange and sharing in the framework of a decentralized international cooperation.”
