Rabat – Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid received the ambassadors of the Republic of Korea, Keeyong Chung, and the Republic of Portugal, Bernardo Futscher Pereira, the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication revealed in a tweet yesterday.
During the meeting, the three nations explored strategies to strengthen national friendships and partnerships and shared perspectives on cultural cooperation.
Bensaid presented a number of projects developed by the Ministry for the benefit of youth and discussed mutual partnership opportunities.
Relations between the Republic of Korea and Morocco are strong, thanks to the two nations’ shared values and interests, and long history of collaboration across a variety of sectors.
Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1962, Morocco and Korea have made every effort to deepen their partnership and now celebrate 60 years of strong friendship and mutual respect.
The two nations have a deep understanding of each other’s interests in terms of territorial integrity, regional peace and security, and sustainable development, which has provided a firm foundation for mutual economic success and balanced trade exchanges, reflected by frequent collaboration at global forums.

Morocco has maintained similarly strong connections with Portugal, resulting in fruitful outcomes in diplomacy, economy, culture, energy, and other sectors.
The two countries’ frequent mutual visits, cooperative agreements, and alliance in the international arena all attest to the strength of their diplomatic relationship.
Morocco and Portugal have both expressed a commitment to strengthening collaboration in the fields of security, energy, maritime transportation, tourism, training, and scientific research, as well as to improving intercultural interaction, the focus of this recent meeting.
In further efforts to increase international cultural engagement, Bensaid also held a meeting today with UK Ambassador Simon Martin, in which they discussed collaboration in several spheres, including youth empowerment and culture.
