Rabat – Low-cost carrier Air Arabia Maroc has said it will begin a new direct flight from Oujda to Malaga on June 26.
The flights will be performed by an Airbus A320 every Friday and Sunday, the company noted in a statement on Twitter today.
The airplane will depart from Oujda at 6:50 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and land in Malaga at 8:55 p.m. and 10:05 p.m., respectively.
Return flights will take off from Malaga at 9:45 p.m. on Friday and 10:55 p.m. on Sunday, to land in Oujda at 9:40 p.m. and 10:50 p.m., respectively.
Air Arabia Maroc also links Oujda to four other European destinations, including Murcia, Barcelona, Marseille, and Paris.
Morocco reopened its airspace on February 7, 2022, and Air Arabia Maroc has in recent weeks launched several flights linking Morocco to several countries in the world.
Data compiled by the website Statista indicate that Moroccan citizens residing abroad accounted for 49% of tourists in Morocco in 2020, followed by French nationals (15%). Meanwhile, Spanish and British tourists accounted for 7% and 4% of international tourists, respectively.

According to the same website, foreign nationals made up 54% of all inbound tourists to Morocco in 2019, with Europe being the dominant region of origin of those tourists.
Air Arabia Maroc is a Moroccan low-cost airline jointly founded by a group of Moroccan investors and the UAE’s Air Arabia. The airline is headquartered in the arrivals terminal of Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport.
