Rabat – Morocco’s oldest and most prestigious engineering school, the Hassania School of Public Works, is organizing the 25th annual business forum “EHTP Entreprises” on May 25-26.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, and Logistics, EHTP Entreprises aims to bring engineering students closer to the business world, the school said in a press release.
The list of the forum’s sponsors comprises a long list of top Moroccan firms from both the public and private sectors, including Morocco’s national port operator, Marca Maroc, phosphate giant OCP Group, and the country’s largest bank Attijariwafa Bank.
Representatives from dozens of Moroccan firms will attend the event and set up stands to attract future engineers and acquaint them with employment opportunities.
The Forum pays homage to Morocco’s decade-long strategy to capitalize on its human resources as the bedrock of underlying economic reforms, the statement points out.
By bridging the distance between the business sphere and academia, the forum seeks to help future engineers acquire the skills necessary to adapt to “the constantly evolving market,” added the school’s statement.
This year’s forum is themed “Engineers: The Backbone of Stimulating Competitiveness and Sustainable Business Ecosystem,” and the event’s program includes panel discussions and conferences under the theme of tackling issues of relevance to future engineers and attendees.
Open to engineering students from across Morocco, the forum also aims to help prospective engineers acquire the networking skills necessary to advance in the contemporary business market.
The event is in line with Hassania School’s strategy to teach future engineers not only skills directly relevant to their field of expertise, but also to “cultivate openness, innovation, and multidisciplinarity,” said Nisrine Al Khabote, President of the EHTP Entreprises Forum.
