Arab Futsal Cup: Morocco Beats Libya 3-0, Qualifies For Semi-Finals

Fez – Morocco’s futsal team qualified today for the semi-finals of the 2022 Arab Futsal Cup, after beating Libya 3-0 in a thrilling game.

With their excellent performance, Morocco’s Atlas Lions proved that they are determined to win the prestigious title for the second year in a row.

The Moroccan team dominated the court as soon as the game kicked off, repeatedly threatening the Libyan defenses. The Libyan goalkeeper, however, at first foiled the Atlas Lions’ attacks.

It was only before the end of the first half that the Moroccan team managed to score the long-awaited first goal, thanks to its star player, Anas El Ayane.

Morocco further asserted its dominance in the second half.

On the other end, the Libyan team appeared rejuvenated after the break, as they nearly scored a tying goal several times.

As time progressed, however, Atlas Lions’ relentless efforts in the critical stages of the second half eventually proved fruitful.

Morocco’s Bilal Bakkali succeded in scoring the second goal, while his teammate Soufiane El Mesrar added the third goal in the game’s final moments.

With a 3-0 victory, the Moroccan team secured one of the coveted spots for the 2022 Arab Futsal Cup.

Atlas Lions displayed eye-catching performances during the group stage, clinching a well-deserved qualification for the tournament’s advanced stages.

This remarkable performance was further solidified against Somalia in the second game, after the team brought in a landslide 16-0 win.

In the third game against Mauritania, the Moroccan team once again proved its caliber, handily defeating its Mauritanian opponents with a 13-0 victory.

As the titleholders, Morocco’s Atlas Lions are widely regarded to be the favorites to win the Arab Futsal Cup for the second time in a row.

With today’s qualification to the semi-finals, the Moroccan team appears to be determined to assert its dominance in the Arab futsal scene and bring the title home.
