Rabat – Morocco’s kickboxing star Jamal Ben Saddik won Glory’s headline event tonight by defeating Romania’s Benjamin Adegbuyi by a knockout.
Ben Saddik dedicated his win to King Mohammed VI.
“I dedicate this victory to the King of Morocco, whose birthday is tomorrow,” the champion said in a post-match statement.
The Moroccan kickboxing star also convyed his thanks to all fans who came to watch him tonight.
“I have had a difficult period, but I have always kept on training. I’ve always been focused. I am in excellent shape,” he added.
Ranked second in the heavyweight class, Ben Saddik also defeated Adegbuyi in a fight that took place in December 2018.
Glory’s Moroccan fans are now waiting for Badr Hari’s next fight, scheduled for October 8. This time, Hari will fight Dutch kickboxer Alistair Overeem.
