Rabat – Moroccan athlete Bilal Sahli won the silver medal at the Ninja Warrior World Cup that occurred in Manila, the Philippines on August 6 and 7. The competition featured thousands of competitors attempting to complete a series of obstacle courses.
Affiliated with the Moroccan Royal Federation of Skateboarding, Rollerblading, Scooters, and Urban Sports (FRMSU), the Moroccan champion also claimed fourth place in the competition’s UIPM new 5th Discipline Test, a new Modern Pentathlon discipline.
Sahli took to Instagram to celebrate his win, thanking his family and friends for supporting him and giving him “the strength to keep going.” He also extended his thanks to Up Movement, a Morocco-based extreme sports team.
“Congratulations and thank you for your performance @sahlibilal, it is the fruit of continuous and repeated efforts. You are currently the vice world champion in the ninja obstacle category.” Up Movement said on Instagram.
Sahli’s “successful participation will certainly constitute a motivating incentive for Moroccan practitioners of different ages to obtain more titles, trophies, and victories at international sports competitions,” the FRMSU said in a press release.
