Rabat – Morocco’s Agency for Digital Development (ADD) is joining forces with the Spanish company Minsait, a leading firm in digital transformation consultancy and information technologies, to establish a data sharing platform.

According to a statement from Minsait, the platform seeks to enable data sharing and information exchange between Morocco’s various administrations and public entities in a safe and agile way.

The goal of the platform is to promote the secure and transparent interchange of data and documents among different agencies and organizations in order to expedite procedures, simplify processes, and tailor services to individuals’ requirements, the statement noted.

It also aims to allow all information systems in Morocco’s administrations to “speak to each other,” regardless of their technological capabilities,  explained Minsait’s statement, adding that the initiative is a priority for the Moroccan government to support the digital transformation of the public sector, streamline processes, and improve service delivery.

The interoperability of the various systems allows for the reduction of processing cycles and the provision of documentation that has previously been sent to one of the connected administrations, as well as the reduction of human mistakes and expenses, Minsait explained.

According to the statement, Minsait’s Interoperability Platform is an open Internet of Things (IoT) solution with “Big Data” features that make it simple to integrate and exchange data from many systems, apps, and devices. Its technology also allows encryption of communications to preserve the confidentiality and integrity of information.

As part of the Indra Group, a world leader in information technology and defense systems, Minsait has been present in Morocco for more than 20 years, where it is a technology partner in some high-profile projects, the statement recalled.

The technology company opened its new office in Rabat in 2018, confirming its commitment to the country and strengthening its capacity for growth in Africa, concluded the statement.
