Casablanca – The Moroccan city of Casablanca will host the second edition of the Morocco-Mauritania Economic Forum on September 20.

The conference is organized in partnership between the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the National Union of Mauritanian Employers (UNPM). It will take place at the headquarters of the Al Saud Foundation in Casablanca, aiming to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries and give a new impetus to relations between the two business communities.

The conference will see the participation of a Mauritanian delegation of a hundred business operators led by UNPM President Mohamed Zein El Abidine Sheikh Ahmed.

The event’s agenda includes two panels on Morocco’s and Mauritania’s business climates, as well as investment initiatives in promising industries like energy, agriculture, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and finance.

The first edition of the Morocco-Mauritania Economic Forum was held in Nouakchott from December 16 to 18, 2018.

The first edition of the conference focused primarily on industry, fishing, trade and services, energy, mining, agriculture, food processing, construction, real estate, banking and finance, insurance, textiles, tourism, and pharmaceuticals.
