Rabat- Morocco will take part in The World Travel Market event, set to be held in London from November 7-9. The initiative seeks to attract more British tourists to Morocco.
In preparation for the event, Morocco’s National Confederation of Tourism (CNT), in collaboration with Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT), organized the Task Force British Market workshop in Casablanca, which aims to prepare and equip travel industry professionals with the necessary tools to be successful.
The workshop was organized by ONMT Director-General Adel El Fakir and CNT President Hamid Bentahar, among others.
“Today, it is critical for the office that each Moroccan presence in an exhibition is meticulously prepared in collaboration with all tourism operators, and that we are all aligned around a common message to deliver to English travel influencers,” El Fakir said, stressing the importance of the workshop.
Echoing El Fakir’s statement, Bentahar said that “the establishment of these task-force meetings before each major exhibition is for us, a prerequisite for CNT members to benefit from ONMT studies on new trends and on the evolution of each market’s specific expectations.”
The event bolsters Morocco’s ongoing efforts to promote tourism, a critical sector to the country’s socio economic development. Following the COVID-19 pandemic the ONMT has launched several campaigns to revive the tourism industry.
ONMT recently launched a new campaign, “Morocco, the Land of Light,” which seeks to promote Morocco as a holiday destination to an international market.
Additionally, in March, the tourism office launched two promotional campaigns to target French tourists in collaboration with Carrefour Voyages and Havas Voyages.
