Rabat – Morocco’s Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social Economy Fatima Zahra Amour met with Guatemalan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ava Atzum Arevalo de Moscoso on Thursday to discuss opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
During their discussions, the two officials emphasized the good political, economic and cultural relations and exchange of opportunities to strengthen cooperation in different fields including crafts, given the great diversity and richness of handicrafts in Morocco and Guatemala.
Morocco’s ministry of tourism, handicrafts and social economy reported that the meeting will mark the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement.The agreement will give rise to the organization of several exhibitions, to promote the richness of Morocco’s craft heritage.
Also present at the meeting was the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, Maria Luisa Ramirez Coronado and the Ambassador of Guatemala in Rabat, Erick Estuardo Escobedo Ayala.
This meeting follows Ammor’s participation in the celebration of Guatemala’s 201st anniversary of independence, which was held in Rabat and organized by the Guatemalan Embassy.
The celebration was an opportunity to consolidate the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Guatemala. and to convey a strong message to the Guatemalan side on the importance for the Kingdom to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
