Rabat – Morocco and Croatia ended today their match in a 0-0 draw as part of the 2022 World Cup, which opened on November 20 in Qatar.
The result of the match prompted both teams to be awarded one point each.
The Atlas Lions showed resilience in front of Croatia’s football team, making spectacular scoring attempts.
Morocco’s lineup featured key football players, including Hakim Ziyech, Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, Sofiane Boufale, and Youssef En-Nesyri.
Morocco’s Atlas Lions and Croatia are in Group F along with Belgium and Canada. Some have described Group F as a “ group of death” but Moroccan football players and their coach Walid Regragui emphasized that they hold no fear of the challenges that they are facing.
“We have good players… We are ready to give the maximum and to please our supporters,” coach Regragui said in a pre-match conference on Tuesday one day before the match.
Morocco will play its second match against Belgium on November 27, while its last match in the group stage will be against Canada on December 1.
