Survey: 75% of Moroccans Follow Influencers on Social Networks

Rabat- The latest survey by DigitrendZ (Moroccan Digital Trends) found that 75% of Moroccans follow an average of 15 influencers on social media platforms.

The survey also found that these influencers are regarded as reliable and trustworthy sources of information by their followers.

According to the large-scale Moroccan survey, humor, cooking, technology, and fashion are among people’s main topics of interest on social media.

The data also found that 60% of participants play video games, with the majority doing so casually on their smartphones.

The large-scale Moroccan survey was conducted nationwide using a self-administered online questionnaire to collect data from 3,000 respondents from all demographics.

DigitrendZ 2022 was created and introduced by a group of  Moroccan experts.

“DigitrendZ 2022 provides the most comprehensive overview of the Moroccan digital landscape. Our survey covers social networks, influence, and gaming,”

said the co-authors of DigitrendZ.

Explaining the reason behind their survey topic they said, “This is a choice imposed by the increasing weight that these various activities represent, both economically and socially, in the Moroccan digital universe.”

They also highlighted that DigitrendZ 2022’s greatest advantage is that it “enables psychographic segmentation, which takes into account all Moroccans’ segmented interests, demographic profiles, and value and personality patterns for both the global market and each social networking site.”
