Rabat – At least five people were killed while 18 others suffered injuries in a mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado, US.
CNN reported on Sunday that police received calls starting at 11:57 p.m. to the nightclub called Club Q.
“They did locate one individual who we believe to be the suspect inside,” Colorado Springs Police Pamela Castro said.
CNN said that police refused to comment about the possible motive behind the shooting.
“We will be here for many, many hours to come,” Castro added.
The FBI is also contributing to the investigation.
“Devastated” by the mass shooting, Club Q described the attack as “senseless.”
“We thank the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack,” the club said.
