Rabat – The opening ceremony for the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place on November 20 at 14:00 GMT at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar. FIFA has a reputation for hosting events featuring famous singers and artists.

This year’s opening ceremony will feature internationally renowned artists such as K-pop star Jung Kook, bollywood singer Nora Fatehi, American band Black Eyed Peas and Colombian singer J Balvin. However, FIFA has yet to confirm the event’s lineup.

BTS’ Jung Kook is set to perform during the opening ceremony. The South Korean band BTS shared the news on their official twitter account saying,“Proud to announce that Jung Kook is part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack & will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony.”

Moroccan-Canadian Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi will also perform during the ceremony. Fatehi featured in the official video for “Light The Sky,” the official anthem of 2022’s Qatar World Cup.

Colombian singer J Balvin and American group Black Eyed Peas are also performing. The Black Eyed Peas also performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in 2010.

J Balvin is expected to hold a live performance on November 24.

FIFA reported that Qatar “will also host a vast array of cultural and entertainment options during this year’s FIFA World Cup, with more than 90 special events set to take place on the sidelines of the tournament.”

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will take place from November 20 to December 18 and will see the participation of 32 teams.

The World Cup draw put Morocco in Group F alongside Belgium, Croatia, and Canada.

The national team’s first game will be against Croatia, the 2018 World Cup runner-up. The match against Croatia will take place on November 23 at 11:00 local time at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar.

The second match, against Belgium, will take place on November 27 at 14:00 local time at the Al Thumama Stadium.

Morocco’s third game in the group stage will be against Canada on December 1. The match will take place at 16:00 local time at the Al Thumama Stadium.
