Rabat – The general consulate of Morocco in Turkiye reported that two Moroccan tourists suffered injuries during the explosion that hit Istiklal Avenue, a busy area in central Istanbul on Sunday.
The first victim suffered from fractures in her legs, while the second victim did not require hospitalization.

The consulate in Istanbul called on all Moroccan nationals in Istanbul to exercise the “utmost vigilance and to comply with the instructions of the Turkish authorities.”
It also emphasized its mobilization to continue to monitor the situation of all Moroccans in Istanbul.
The explosion, which killed at least eight and injured over 80 people, sparked uproar worldwide.
Turkiye is accusing Kurdish militants in northern Syria of the bombing.
Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said today that the attack was planned, accusing militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ party (PPK) and the People Defense Units (YPG).
Turkiye, along with the US, and EU identify the PKK as a terrorist group.
Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said that security services noticed a woman who sat on a bench for 45 minutes and left moments prior to the blast.
Turkish security services arrested 46 people over the explosion, including the woman who appeared in several photos, leaving a package below a raised flower bed on Istiklal avenue.
Police said the woman was trained by Kurdish militants.
