Rabat – Moroccan-Dutch kickboxer Amira Tahri has once again claimed a world championship title for the sixth time, at 13 years of age.
The young kickboxing star claimed the title after defeating her rival Machtelinckx as part of the Glory Rivals 3. The tournament took place on November 5, at Sporthallen Zuid Sports complex in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Tahri took to Instagram to celebrate her win, with a caption saying: “I did it again!! World champion.” She posted a photo featuring her holding the world championship belt, alongside her coach Dayon Mungra, and the Moroccan ambassador to the Netherlands.
Ahead of Saturday’s competition, Tahri expressed her readiness and determination to defend her years-long title. “All the hard work I have done over the last weeks will be paid off soon,” she said on Instagram.
As the competition was approaching, Tahri displayed great dedication and discipline as she had been focusing on training and getting ready for the fight.

The young Moroccan champion documented her journey ahead of the tournament on Instagram with a series of videos training with her coach and showcasing her kickboxing moves.
In November 2021, Tahri won her fifth world championship title after defeating her French rival Shaina Moniek in the Abu Dhabi World Cup Final.
The 13-year-old was born in 2009 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands to Moroccan parents, originally from the city of Oujda. She started kickboxing at the age of six and chose to represent her home country, Morocco.
In 2022, Director Elza Jo Tratlehner dedicated a documentary to the young Moroccan star.
“When you see Amira training, it’s as if you were in front of a miracle,” Tratlehner said. “I wanted to know how come a ten-year-old girl is so good. Not only at the Dutch or European level but at the international level.”
