Rabat – Morocco’s Yassine Bounou has again clinched the title of the Man of the Match following the Atlas Lions’ historic win against Portugal on Saturday.

Bounou contributed to Morocco’s win as he was able to keep several of Portugal’s scoring attempts out of his net.

Bounou’s eye-catching performance during this match has become a source of celebration for Moroccans and football fans across the world.

With this win, Morocco became the first African and Arab country to qualify for the semi-finals in World Cup history.

The win enjoyed a celebration from Moroccans across the world.

In Rabat, Casablanca, Zagoura, and all cities across the 12 regions of the country, thousands upon thousands stormed every small and large street of the country to celebrate the Atlas Lions’ win.

The rainy weather and strong wind did not prevent Moroccan fans from flocking to the streets wrapped in Moroccan flags to chant all kinds of slogans and songs to celebrate the historic win.

The Atlas Lions made spectacular performances throughout the competitions, and finished unbeaten throughout the phases of the World Cup.

After sending Spain home on penalties 3-0 on Tuesday, Morocco booked Portugal’s players their tickets back to Lisbon after a 1-0.

Morocco also defeated Belgium 2-0 and Canada 2-1 during the group stage. The country’s only goalless match during the phases was with Croatia during the opening match on November 23.

Congratulations to Bounou and all of the Atlas Lions for the spectacular performances, making not only Moroccans proud but all of the Arab and Africa world.
