Rabat – The Netherlands and the USA national football teams will lock horns today as part of the ongoing Qatar World Cup’s round of 16.

The game will kick off at 16:00 Moroccan time at the Khalifa InternationalStadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar. The game will be broadcast on BeIN sports channels, Fox, and Telemundo, as well as streaming sites fuboTV and Peacock.

The game marks the ongoing tournament’s first knockout round match. The World Cup’s group stage concluded on Friday, with Group G’s Brazil and Switzerland, and Group H’s Portugal advancing to the knockout stage.

Opta Analyst indicates that the Netherlands are favorites to win the clash, with a 51.9% chance of clinching a victory, whereas the American team are expected to have a 22% chance of winning.

Meanwhile, the likelihood of the match ending with a draw, which would lead to penalties, stands at 26.1%.

The United States are the runners-up of Group B, falling behind group leader England. Meanwhile, the Netherlands led Group A with a total of seven points.

However, the Dutch team did not produce their best performance so far in the tournament, even though they advanced to the knockout stage with two wins and a draw in their group featuring Senegal, Ecuador, and Qatar.

“I don’t mind becoming a world champion without having played a good match. The positive thing is that we haven’t lost. That may also give us the confidence that it can only get better,” said Dutch midfielder Marten de Roon.
