Rabat – Morocco’s King Mohammed VI exchanged congratulatory messages with heads of “brotherly” states on Saturday on the occasion of the New Year.
King Mohammed VI sent greeting cards to heads of states and Governments of brotherly and friendly countries, expressing his sincere wishes for health and happiness while expressing his wish that this year brings prosperity, peace, security, and progress to their countries, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
On the same occasion, the King received cards and messages of good wishes from the leaders of those countries as well as from other notable people. The messages presented to the Sovereign wished for health, happiness, and more progress and prosperity for the Moroccan people.
According to MAP, the congratulatory messages include one from the monarchs of Jordan, King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah.
Belgium’s King Philippe and Queen Mathilde also addressed a congratulatory message to the Moroccan monarch in addition to president of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The list of New Year cards the King has received also includes ones from the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The King also received congratulatory messages from Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The list of presidents extended to Italian President Sergio Mattarella, President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, and Hungarian President Katalin Novak.
In addition, the king received more messages from Polish President Andrzej Duda, Estonian President Alar Karis, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
