Rabat – Famous footballers Achraf Hakimi and Kylian Mbappe, close friends and teammates for French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), attended yesterday’s NBA match between Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs at the Barclays Center Stadium in Brooklyn.
During the game, the PSG duo received a warm greeting as well as a jersey from American professional basketball player Kevin Durant, with whom they took pictures that have since made the rounds on the internet.

“Great game, guys. Congratulations! It was really fun to watch. Good luck for the season,” Mbappe said to the NBA players.
The two PSG stars’ friendship and visible fondness for each other has received much attention in the media in recent weeks, with one of the latest news stories suggesting that the pair have been pushing for PSG’s signing of Sofyan Amrabat, the much-coveted Moroccan midfielder.
Hakimi and Mbappe have been close friends since the Moroccan right-back joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021. The pair are reportedly “inseparable in the PSG dressing room and their friendship goes beyond the day-to-day with their club.”
In June, the PSG duo spent a joint summer holiday in Morocco’s red city of Marrakech.
