FIFA Club World Cup: Morocco’s Railway Operator Launches Special Train Plan

Rabat – Morocco’s railway operator ONCF has announced the launch of a special transport plan from February 1-13 to support football fans seeking to attend the FIFA Club World Cup.

The national railway office announced that it has set up special trains to facilitate travel for supporters during the tournament, which will kick off tomorrow at Tangier’s grand stadium

The opener will be a faceoff between Al Ahly and Auckland City at 8 p.m. Moroccan time.

ONCF’s special train includes a special Al Boraq (high-speed train) which will depart from Tangier at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1.

Morocco’s high-speed train operates between Tangier and Casablanca, with stops in Kenitra and Rabat. Morocco has recently set up a high-speed train trial connecting Casablanca and Marrakech. The potential launch of the line is not disclosed yet.

Two special high-speed trains will depart from Casablanca at 8 p.m. and from Tangier at 11 p.m. on Saturday, February 4.

Saturday will feature matches between Morocco’s Wydad and Al Hilal at 15:30 at the prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium and Seattle Sounders against the “to be determined” squad depending on the opening game.

On February 7, ONCF will mobilize an Atlas train from Tangier to Fez at 11 p.m. and a special high-speed train from Tangier at 11:30 p.m.

Tuesday, February 7  will feature the semi-final game between Flamengo and the to-be-determined opponent depending on the result of the previous matches. The semi-final game will take place at 8 p.m. at the Tangier’s Grand stadium.

On Wednesday, February 8, a special high-speed train will depart from Casablanca at 11p.m.

An Al-Atlas train will also be mobilized from Rabat to Marrakech at midnight.

February 8 will feature matches between Real Madrid and the “to-be-determined squad” depending on the forthcoming games.

ONCF will also mobilize a special high-speed train departing from Casablanca at 11 p.m. and Al Atlas train from Rabat to Marrakech at midnight.

The final game will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The FIFA Club World Cup’s much-anticipated song will be produced by Moroccan superstar Nadir Khayat, known by his stage name RedOne.

The song will feature several renowned singers performing in different genres, including pop and rap.
