Rabat – A video depicting a police officer riding a motorcycle and running over a demonstrator in the streets of Paris is taking the internet by storm.
First posted on Wednesday by French media outlet Revolution Permanente, the video shows two protestors running in the street while being chased by two uniformed, motorized police officers.
While attempting to distance themselves from the chasing officers, one of the protestors apparently falls to the ground and the other comes to his aid to stop the police officers from running him over.
One of the police officers stopped his motorcycle, but the second officer appeared to slow down only to move his motorcycle faster over the body of the protester.

Protests are rocking the streets of France over the government’s controversial pension reform that would increase the retirement age from 62 to 64 years. Nationwide protests threaten to cripple the French economy as workers in all public sectors are taking to the streets and going on open strikes.
On Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron fueled more anger after he said that he would press on with plans to raise the pension age, in a blunt rejection of calls from labor unions.
“Do you think I enjoy doing this reform? No,” Macron said in an interview aired on French television, adding: “There are not a hundred ways to balance the accounts … this reform is necessary.”
