Morocco’s Ghada Bouhlal Takes her Career By Storm

Unlike in the past, women now enjoy more rights. The rights that women are deservedly earning  give them opportunities to take their careers to the next level, an example that Ghada Bouhlal has shown to be true.

Bouhlal began her journey at Youssef Ibn Tachfine high school in Fez, and graduated from two different engineering schools, namely the High School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (ESISA) in 2005 and Polytech Marseille majoring in industrial and computer engineering.

In addition, she has a master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Business Administration Institute Aix-en-Provence (IAE) in 2007.

The long-standing leader enjoys a wealth of experience. Her keen interest in entrepreneurship allowed her to hold diverse positions of responsibility and develop strong managerial, diplomatic, and communication skills, as well as a large network of institutional partners, and international cooperation actors and donors.

Between 2010 and 2011, she was a senior consultant in organization and strategy at  a management consulting firm based in Casablanca, BFIVE Consulting. She worked at Axa Insurance Morocco project (AAM) as head of the “Change Management” team within the organization’s department.

From 2011 to 2015, she was the founder and director of an organization and strategy consulting firm in Fez, Shore Consulting. Not only was she a director there but also a project manager in various projects within the firm.

Bouhlal added to her list of credentials  between 2015 and 2019 at the Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). During her time there she worked as a senior technical advisor within the project Promoting Youth Employment in Rural Areas and she was also responsible for the labor market instruments (intermediation, employability improvement, entrepreneurship promotion).

Now, Bouhlal is a director of cooperation and entrepreneurship at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF).

The UEMF started in 2014 not just as an ordinary university offering degrees but also as a non-for-profit research center supported by the Kingdom of Morocco. As a research and development center, it was built on ecological values and specializes in socio-economic projects.
