Rabat – Wydad Atheltic Club has qualified for CAF Champions League’s semi finals after beating Tanzanian football club Simba SC in the second leg of the quarter finals.
The Casablanca-based club scored its first goal in the 24th minute through Bouly Junior Sambou.
Wydad displayed a remarkable performance during the match, keeping Simba from scoring an equalizer. The Tanzanian club struggled to get control of the game as the Moroccan side dominated possession of the ball.
Since Simba won the first quarter final match by 1-0, the game went into penalty shootouts to determine the club that would make it to the next round.
The game ended with Wydad moving to the next round of the tournament after winning 4-3 in the penalty shoot-out.
