Rabat – Rumors and speculation continue to make the rounds in Moroccan football player Achraf Hakimi’s separation with Spanish-Tunisian actress Hiba Abouk.
According to the latest rumor making headlines on Hakimi and Abouk’s divorce case, the football star’s ex-partner is reportedly demanding a financial divorce settlement worth €10 million, or $11 million.
A number of Spanish news outlets, including Marca and AS, reported the news, claiming that Abouk’s legal team is demanding €10 million while the football player is offering to pay only €2 million.
Marca reported that the actress decided to file a lawsuit against Hakimi for “fraud and mismanagement of their marital assets.”
These reports came amid suggestions that the PSG star has transferred his fortunes under the name of his mother, Saida Mouh.
But the football player’s mother denied the claims, suggesting that she was unaware of such actions
“If he has taken any action to protest himself, I’m unaware of it,” the mother said earlier this month.
“What’s the problem if the news is true? If my son does not do this, he will not be able to get rid of that woman,” she added.
These rumors on Hakimi and Abouk broke out when Marcha reported on April 14 that the Tunisian actress was requesting half of the PSG star’s wealth as part of their separation settlement.
The news outlet added that Abouk was astonished to find out that Hakimi had nothing under his name, suggesting that Hakimi’s mother has been receiving his wages on her bank account.
Many reports have challenged these rumors, however, describing the reports as fake since what they and defined the news as fake reports.
French journalist and sports reporter Gilles Verdez commented on the rumors last week, saying that reports of Hakimi transferring his assets in his mother’s name were “not true.”
“That wouldn’ be possible, not in Morocco, not in Spain, not in France,” he added.
Abouk confirmed her separation from Hakimi on March 27 amid news that the footballer was facing investigation by the French police as part of an alleged rape case.

Abouk’s confirmation came in the form of a lawsuit she filed against the football player after a 24-year-old woman accused him of raping her in his house while his wife and two children were away on vacation.
Hakimi’s legal team has strongly rejected the accusations against him, suggesting that the football player was a “victim of an extortion attempt.”
“In my opinion, it appears from the documents in the hands of the judicial police that Mr. Hakimi, in this case, is the subject of an extortion attempt,” Marca quoted Hakimi lawyer Fanny Colin as saying.
Despite news of her separation with Hakimi coming on the heels of the investigation into the alleged rape case, Abouk has stressed that their decision to divorce was taken long before that rape controversy and other rumors about the couple
“The reality is that a while ago, after a lot of reflection, the father of my children and I made the decision to end our relationship, long before the recent media events that have involved me, which are totally external,” the Spanish-Tunisian actress said last week.
In a recent interview with Elle Magazine, Abouk also slammed critics who have claimed she was seeking an expensive separation settlement for her own financial benefits, stressing: “I have zero attachment to material things.”
