Rabat – FC Barcelona’s Coach Xavi Hernandez is advocating for Moroccan international player Abde Ezzalzouli continued presence at Barça, citing the player’s potential to bring significant value to the squad, according to Spanish media reports.
However, the final decision hinges on the potential departures of other forwards, with Juventus being the latest club to inquire about the talented winger, the report adds.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Ezzalzouli’s stay at Barcelona depends on the potential departures of players such as Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, or even Raphinha, should Barcelona receive attractive offers for any of these players.
Throughout the pre-season matches, Xavi was keen to observe Ezzalzouli’s performance closely and was determined to secure the player’s permanent return to the Barcelona squad.
Acknowledging Ezzalzouli’s potential to generate substantial revenue for the Spanish club through lucrative offers, the coach firmly believes that the Moroccan winger can make a significant contribution to the team’s attacking department.
Xavi views Abde as a highly skilled and impactful attacker who can add depth and versatility to his squad.
The Moroccan player’s outstanding performances at Osasuna over the past year have not gone unnoticed, earning him recognition as a key player under the guidance of coach Jagoba Arrasate, converging reports have noted.
The former Hercules player played an instrumental role in Osasuna’s journey to the Copa del Rey final and their qualification for European competitions.
His talents were further rewarded when he played a crucial role in leading the Morocco U-23 team to victory in the Africa U-23 Cup, where he was crowned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
His impressive statistics at Osasuna, boasting 20 La Liga appearances with 4 goals, and 6 Copa del Rey appearances with two goals, have attracted interest from several top clubs across LaLiga, the Premier League, and the Bundesliga. Juventus, among others, has expressed a keen interest, keeping a close eye on Abde’s future.
