In a recent interview with Saudi newspaper Arriyadiah, Moroccan left-back Yahia Attiyat Allah confirmed that he is currently considering leaving the Botola Pro, Morocco’s top-tier football league, as he has received offers from two foreign clubs.

“I am currently exploring two official offers from two clubs in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, as well as an extension offer with Wydad,” he stated in the interview.

The 28-year-old also expressed his admiration for the Saudi League which has lately been the center of worldwide attention with the mouthwatering signings of world-renowned players by numerous Saudi teams.

“Today I am a free player, and I will start looking at the offers submitted to me. I had a European offer after the World Cup, but my contract prevented me,” the player added.

When asked about what is stopping him from signing with the Saudi clubs that have so far reached out to him, the player answered: “I am looking for a club that competes locally and abroad and achieves championships and I want to be a part of it. That is why I rejected the offers of clubs that are not looking for external competition.”

Attiyat Allah officially became a free agent on June 30, but Wydad Casablanca is still negotiating a contract renewal with the player.

The left-back delivered an eye-catching performance during the recent World Cup as he played a tremendous role in securing the Moroccan Atlas Lions’ defensive line.

In particular, Attiyat Allah left a personal significant mark on the Qatar world Cup during Morocco’s  quater-finals game as he provided the assist for Youssef En-Nesyri’s iconic winning header against the star-studded Portuguese national team.
