Rabat – The Moroccan national team head coach, Mohammed Ouahbi, spoke about the national team’s readiness to potentially face any opponents in the upcoming rounds, noting that the previous matches gave the necessary reference base for the next stage.
Speaking during today’s pre-match press conference, Ouahbi said that there will be the Netherlands and maybe Japan and maybe France, Portugal, Spain and Argentina. But the most important is that the Atlas Lions are fully ready to face any potential team.
The coach further expressed that the strength of Morocco lies generally in its own capabilities and not in the identities of its opponents.
“I think we have proven to everyone, whoever the opponent may be, that we have the qualifications and ability. And frankly, I am not focusing on one particular opponent.”He said.
Ouahbi stressed that the team’s confidence comes from their recent matches, which served as a crucial learning experience. Those games allowed the coaching staff to test different tactics, build chemistry, and prepare the players for high-pressure situations.
Instead of constantly changing their style to match the opponent, Morocco intends to rely on their own established, versatile system and force other teams to adapt to them.
The Atlas Lions enter the final match looking to protect their unbeaten run, confirm qualification, and advance as Group C winners.
