Rabat – The Warehouse at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech will welcome on September 10 the “Noir sur Blanc” art exhibition, the result of a uniquely creative collaboration between two A-listers in Morocco’s burgeoning cultural scene.

This groundbreaking partnership between Mandarin Oriental and Atelier Mayer, a curator of exceptional designs, graces the city of Marrakech, especially visitors of the exhibition,  with a stunning display of the charm and significance of creativity and culture.

During the event, the Warehouse at Mandarin Oriental is set to unveil an immersive design place that merges art, culture and design and that promises to enrapture the senses and kindle profound conversations.

Within the walls of the Warehouse, the visionary collaboration between Atelier Mayer’s founder and creative director Carmen Haid and Moroccan artist Idriss Karnachi resulted in the “Noir sur Blanc” exhibition.

The exhibition will be opened to the public for a limited time,  promising a tapestry of modern visions interwoven with curated treasures, all set against the backdrop of Marrakech’s charm. This confluence of tradition and contemporary expression paints a canvas that speaks volumes.

Embracing sustainability as a central tenet, Atelier Mayer and Idriss Karnachi have masterfully incorporated recycled materials into the art installation, ensuring a conscious effort in regards to waste reduction and responsible consumption.

Attendees are expected to embark on a journey where art, narrative, and innovation converge. During the exhibition, they will be engaging directly with the artworks, interact with the carefully curated pieces, and gain profound insights into the creative journey behind this remarkable collaboration.

Marcel Thoma, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. “Art has an unparalleled capacity to transcend barriers and touch hearts across diverse walks of life,” he said in an official press release. “Through this unique partnership, we aspire to cultivate an immersive environment that not only enchants our guests but also inspires and enriches their lives, fostering connections with Morocco’s local art, design, and cultural community.”

Carmen Haid echoed Thoma’s sentiments, noting that “the collaboration with Mandarin Oriental Marrakech, Idriss Karnachi and Botanika Marrakech has been an immensely rewarding experience.”

“A collective of brilliant minds,” he added, “has united to metamorphose the recently established Warehouse at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech into an extraordinary realm that showcases the timeless allure of avant-garde design.”
